Introduction
The PSMHPC aims to amplify its societal impact by providing evidence-based exercise guidance and comprehensive assessments for the general public, individuals across the lifespan, and special populations, with the overarching goals of health promotion and disease prevention. The Center maintains a longitudinal research database in sports medicine and health promotion, supporting national public health strategies as well as initiatives aligned with the World Health Organization (WHO).
In addition, the Center has established and actively supports a Ph.D. program within the Department of Sports Medicine, dedicated to cultivating high-level professionals with strong competencies in teaching, clinical application, and interdisciplinary research.
Key Missions of the Center
▶︎ Sports Protection Department :
• Establish a platform for exercise protection and health promotion professionals and develop modular health promotion programs.
• Organize sports science assessments and feedback for clubs, organizations, and special or professional athletes.
• Promote international exchange of sports talents.
• Provide sports protection services for faculty, staff, and students in KMU campus.
• Develop and apply innovative sports technology assessments.

• Foster a culture of exercise promotion within the institution.
• Implement institutional exercise activities, serving patients (e.g., support groups).
•Build health promotion initiatives for subhealth and disease management.
•Conduct training for healthcare professionals in exercise prescription and clinical nutrition enhancement.
• Advance sports preventive medicine and exercise prescriptions.
• Establish and collect a clinical exercise-based cohort research dataset in sports medicine.
▶︎ Exercise Research Department :
• Conduct basic scientific researches (gut microbiota, proteomics, metabolomics, genomics, and mitochondrial studies).
•Perform clinical medical research and studies in exercise physiology and wearable smart devices.
▶︎ Organize international conferences to align with global and national policy trends in sports medicine.
▶︎Assist government agencies in executing sports science assessments and research, applying findings to hospitals and communities.
